This years’ AAL Forum in St. Gallen will take place next week and there are many reasons why you should attend. The AAL Forum represents a good opportunity to meet and network with decision-makers, experts, researchers and developers, exponents from health, business and industry. In addition to expert presentations and workshops on the topic of healthy ageing, the Forums’ exhibition area will showcase age-friendly technologies currently under development or close to market introduction.
The Forum features a list of distinguished and inspiring speakers covering a wide range of aspects with respect to healthy ageing. The speakers include Mauro Dell’Ambrogio, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation; Miguel Gonzalez-Sancho, Head of Unit, eHealth, Well-Being and Aging of the European Commission; Rafael De Andres Medina, president of the AAL Association and Anne-Sophie Parent, Secretary General of the AGE Platform Europe. The speakers and workshop presenters cover a wide range of topics.
Take a look at all speakers here.
During the forum we want to explore different factors that influence the availability of AAL technologies and solutions in Europe.
The workshops have been divided into six themes that will act as the pillars of the AAL Forum 2016. Find out more about the individual workshops that will be taking place this year by clicking on the individual themes.

AAL Hackathon – Hack for Ageing Well and bring the best ideas forward:
Hack for Ageing Well is a special two-day event bringing cross-disciplinary ideas to the table to address urgent topics in a creative, interdisciplinary environment with a focus on teamwork, design thinking and prototyping.
Rethink, sketch, prototype or build on existing technologies for Ageing Well – through more usable and considerate design, for staying healthy, independent and active at work or in our community during our whole life.
